Dreamweaver CS3, a web page editor, is used by people who design web content for a living. This introductory four-hour workshop is for anyone who wants to create robust content on the Web. At this workshop, you will learn how to
- create basic pages
- create tables
- add graphics
- create links, including graphic links and email links
- use cascading style sheets (CSS) to ensure consistent formatting across a web site
- create numbered and bulleted lists
- create basic tags
This is a hands-on workshop, where you will be creating samples of what you learn. A working knowledge of Windows XP is required. You may want to bring along a USB storage device (data stick, jump drive) to store any material created in the workshop.
About the speaker: Steve Lawrence
Steve Lawrence is an instructor in the Computer Analyst Programmer/Information Systems Technology program at Red River College. He holds a Master of Arts in Education from Central Michigan University, a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Manitoba, and a Certificate in Adult Education from Red River College. Steve is also a Certified Netware Administrator.
Before joining the staff at Red River College, Steve worked at Richardson GreenShields for 4.5 years as an End User Analyst, where he supported end user applications and researched new ones. Prior to that, Steve worked at Kortex Computers as a network specialist/trainer for two years where he installed and supported local area networks and trained end users in popular productivity tools and applications. Steve was also a Continuing Education instructor for five years with the Seven Oaks School Division and has coached soccer for many years. Steve's love for people is reflected in his passion for teaching.
